Nullifire FJ203 Fire Resistant Backer Rod

Nullifire FJ203 Fire Resistant Backer Rod is a firestopping backer rod made from rock wool, sheathed with flexible glass wires. It is used to make fire-resistant expansion joints between masonry elements, wall and slab, directly exposed to fire or not, in hospitals, hotels, car parks, schools, airports, nuclear power plants etc.
FJ203 can be used alone or in combination with silicone sealant FS703, for fire sealing expansion joints up to 240 minutes (4 hours), for joint widths from 10 to 50mm, in wall and slab (see Efectis classification according to NF EN 13501-2).

Instructions For Use

The substrates must be solid, dust-free, degreased and free of anti-adherent agents
Select the backer rod diameter according to the width of the seal – see Ordering References
Apply the adhesive FO142 with a brush or FO143 in a cartridge on the lips of the joint
Position the FJ203 on the fresh glue, compressing it into the joint
When covering with a silicone sealant, the positioning of the backer rod should make it possible to respect the following ratio:

Depth = Width / 2
